The Person
- Previous experience in a front office or reception management role
- Ambitious and hard working
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-first attitude
- Proficiency with booking systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
The Role
- Oversee front desk operations, including check-in/out procedures and guest services
- Manage and train reception staff, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively
- Liaise with housekeeping, reservations, and other departments for smooth coordination
- Monitor and maintain accurate booking records using hotel management systems
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company policies
- Maximise room occupancy at best rates while implementing up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Assist with all departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures

Overlooking the Royal Mile, this modern hotel in an imposing Victorian building is a 3-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station and a 9-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle.
