Reception & Switchboard Operator
We are recruiting for a Reception & Switchboard Operator to join our amazing team of 4 in our prestigious client site located in City of London. Our client is an international sector-focused law firm.
You’ll be joining a vibrant team of three ambassadors, owning the guest journey and flow of our reception area. And with our exciting site move on the horizon, we’re expanding to two client floors plus a ground-floor reception, complete with state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a dedicated client dining space, and a large, high-profile event venue, all supporting 460 employees.
Your team will be the voice and face of the building, handling all switchboard calls and managing reservations with seamless desk-to-desk support. You’ll also work hand-in-hand with our hospitality partners to ensure every catering request is delivered flawlessly.

Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 per week (Monday-Friday; shift rota basis between 7:30 AM - 6 PM)
Salary: £36,500 - £38,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Main Responsibilities
Client Care
- Warm professional friendly service.
- Be aware of client confidentiality.
- Accommodate with last minute client requests.
- Able to multitask during busy times.
- Precise and clear communication when handling client calls.
Teamwork and Communication
- Working closely with your colleagues to ensure high level service.
- Be flexible at all times.
- Communication is key with the reception and hospitality team.
- Ensure emails and the business inbox is kept up to date at all times.
Working Environment
- Close interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Precision and attention to detail is essential for the upkeep of all meeting rooms and the client areas.

- Have experience in the guest services industry.
- Ideally with knowledge in the corporate/legal FOH environment.
- Must have a good understanding of computerised room booking systems.
