Early Years Teaching Assistant | Full-Time & Long-Term Opportunity | Canning Town, London

Rate

£100 – £125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

About the Role

Rising Hope Education partners with an inclusive primary school in Canning Town, offering a long-term, full-time opportunity for an outstanding EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026.

What the Role Involves

Every child develops differently, and our diverse, highly inclusive school is dedicated to giving every child equal access to learning.

Your primary responsibility will be to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development in a play-based, nurturing Early Years environment. Your role will demand creativity, patience, and adaptability as you work alongside experienced teachers to ensure every child thrives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children during play-based learning activities
  • Delivering small group interventions as required
  • Supporting children with Autism (ASC), communication needs, and sensory processing challenges
  • Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation
  • Promoting independence and confidence in learning
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families

No two days are ever the same—this is a dynamic, hands-on role for those who thrive in fast-paced Early Years environments.


What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in supporting children in EYFS or Primary settings
  • A strong understanding of child development and early learning principles
  • Direct experience (or passion) working with SEND, particularly children with Autism (ASC)
  • Patience, energy, and a nurturing attitude—children’s progress depends on your support
  • An ability to build trusting relationships quickly with both children and parents
  • A commitment to inclusion and every child’s right to succeed
