Receptionist
Receptionist – Permanent Contract | Full-Time | Nuffield Health Oxford
£25,545 per annum | 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
The Receptionist at Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital is a key role in welcoming patients, managing enquiries, and ensuring smooth operations within the department. You’ll leverage strong communication skills, IT knowledge, and empathy to create positive interactions while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience:
- Help visitors feel comfortable while in the reception area
- Use empathy and strong customer service to build trust-based relationships

Administrative & Operational Tasks:
- Answer calls, manage enquiries, and book appointments efficiently
- Direct patients to correct waiting/removal areas in person
- Collaborate with colleagues to streamline departmental workflows
- Prepare and process clinical paperwork, including:
- Referral forms
- Charge sheets
- Terms and conditions

Requirements
Experience
- Ideally, you’ll have healthcare administration experience or prior reception work within a professional environment
- Familiarity with patient healthcare processes is beneficial but not compulsory
Skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Strong IT proficiency, including telephone and computer management
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite or similar systems
