We are looking for a Receptionist at our Sustainable Distribution Centre (SDC), Unit 4, Roman Road, Milton Malsor, Northampton, NN7 2FR site on a full time, permanent basis.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to Head office and site, ensuring all security and safety procedures are adhered to. We’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, solve problems and who has a reassuring manner. You will be working from the hours of 8am-4pm with overtime being offered if needed to attend site earlier.
The role will offer a salary of £27,745.23 per annum pro rata.
What does the role entail?
- Meeting and greeting customers/visitors and directing them to the right department/team, ensuring they receive a great first impression as you will be their initial point of contact
- Answering queries via telephone, email and face to face, relaying messages to the relevant department/team
- Maintaining employee/visitor meeting room calendars
- Monitoring the generic email inbox and making sure correspondence is dealt with in a timely manner
- Liaising with third parties in regards to bookings and ordering supplies
- Maintaining the Weekly Logs for the PO’s for above
- Liaising between contractors/Site Services (Maintenance)/cleaning company
- Administering and maintaining part of the site maintenance log
- Administering sign in/out system and advise of all Health & Safety requirements
- Ad hoc general administration: Contractor required permits, paperwork, scanning, printing, photocopying, Filing etc

- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form
- Polite, well-mannered and well presented
- A strong team player
- Computer literate with systems and MS packages
