Make a positive difference every day

At Serco, we're pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust.

About Us

Shropshire Community Leisure Trust encourages active, healthy lifestyles across the local community. Providing affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities in a safe, clean, friendly, and welcoming space, their goal is to support healthier and happier lives for everyone. Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for a Receptionist to join their team and help make a positive difference every day.

As a Receptionist, you'll be the welcoming face of the centre, helping visitors, members, and guests access the facilities, information, and support they need. Through excellent customer service and attention to detail, you'll help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door, supporting healthier communities and helping the Trust make a positive impact every day.

What you’ll do as a Receptionist

  • Provide a professional and friendly front-of-house service, welcoming customers and responding to enquiries in a helpful manner
  • Direct customers and visitors to the appropriate facilities, activities, and services across the centre
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and ensure enquiries are passed on promptly to the relevant colleagues
  • Process bookings, memberships, and payments accurately using centre systems and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and handle personal information in line with data protection requirements
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of the centre by keeping reception areas organised and reporting any concerns appropriately

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
