Receptionist
£12.71 per hour, 22.5 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays
Part time, 25 hours per week
Fixed Term, 12 month contract
Gatwick Mail Centre, James Watt Way, Crawley, RH10 9AA
We are seeking a part time Receptionist at Gatwick Mail Centre to deliver a professionally managed visitor experience and provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet and manage all visitors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Operate and manage the telephone system, redirecting calls as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks including photocopying, typing, and ordering stationery
- Control access to secure areas and manage security passes
- Coordinate meeting room bookings, conference arrangements, and buffet orders
- Maintain and update local telephone directories and signing-in procedures
- Act as a key contact point for customer liaison and fault reporting
Attendance:
25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 16:00 - 21:00. A degree of flexibility with your attendance is needed.
Skills and experience required:
- First aid trained/SIA licence or a willingness to undertake training (essential)
- Previous receptionist and customer facing experience
- Experienced in MS Office and email systems
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- A team player with a flexible and enthusiastic approach
- Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
