As one of Cambridge’s most desirable social venues, Parker’s Tavern provides a welcoming, high-quality experience for guests throughout the day.
Role Description
The Receptionist at Parker’s Tavern will be the first point of contact for guests, warmly greeting arrivals, managing reservations, and guiding guests to the appropriate areas within the restaurant and bar. Day-to-day responsibilities include answering phone calls, handling booking inquiries, maintaining an organized reception area, and supporting basic administrative and clerical tasks. The role also involves coordinating with the front-of-house and management teams to ensure smooth guest flow and timely communication.

This is a part-time, on-site role based in Cambridge, working shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Proficiency in receptionist duties and phone etiquette, including managing enquiries and reservations.
- Basic clerical skills, such as handling guest records, using booking systems, and organizing documentation.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, with attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Previous experience in hospitality, reception, or guest-facing roles is preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating within a diverse team.
- Reliable time management and flexibility to work varied shifts.
