Job Description: Receptionist Based Onsite (London Medical W1U 5HJ)
Salary: Circa. £27,000pa (dependent on experience)
Permanent Full time (Mon-Fri rota between 8am-8pm)
We make health happen. London Medical is a specialist outpatient clinic located in London’s renowned medical district Harley Street and is now a part of Bupa Health Services. Our diabetes and specialist services offer customers fast access to diagnosis, treatment, and support when they need it, as well as onward pathways to high quality care at Bupa’s Cromwell Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable and noticed customer service professional to join this dynamic organisation as it goes through a period of dramatic growth and transformation. What you’ll do
As a Receptionist you’ll be the face of London Medical, and you’ll play a key role in making our customers visit to the Centre that bit more comfortable. It’s not all front of house though, you’ll also support with the back-office admin, ensuring they continue to receive a great service after leaving the clinic. It can be demanding at times, but with the support of your colleagues and your team leader, you’ll be able to leave at the end of the day knowing you’ve made a difference to each and every one of our customers.
This role requires flexibility with shift patterns in order to meet the clinic demands. Our hours of operation are Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm and team members will be expected to work a minimum of two late shifts per week.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Work on reception, greeting customers and helping make their appointment as smooth and friendly as possible
- Support our clinical staff with preparation of client files and scanning documents, giving them the time to dedicate to their patients
- Perform day to day admin to assist with the operation of the site such as post, answering calls, emails, and delivery notes
- Responsible for collecting billing information and patient consents, preparing invoices/quotes, and performing timely billing and collection of patient accounts according to London Medical protocols.
- Liaise with clinical colleagues to ensure that client reports and correspondence are issued within required timeframes
- Ensure our facilities are well presented and provide a welcoming environment, resolving or escalating any issues when required

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Proven experience delivering exceptional, client focused customer service in person such as in retail, hospitality or in a similar role as a Receptionist
- Experience working as a receptionist would be preferred, but not essential
- Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills, able to quickly build rapport and put people at ease
- Great time management and flexibility, you’ll need to switch tasks and support where needed throughout your shift
- Excellent attention to detail, you’ll be doing a lot of administration, so you’ll need to have solid computing skills and an understanding of the various Microsoft office packages
