The Opportunity

Do you love making guests feel welcome from the very first hello? At the Perle Oban Hotel our Reception team sets the tone for the entire guest experience. We are looking for friendly, professional, and guest-focused Seasonal Receptionist to join our team.

As the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for delivering warm Scottish hospitality, handling guest enquiries, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk.

Perle Oban - Oban, Argyll

Located on Oban's seafront, Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is a striking Victorian building overlooking the harbour and islands beyond. This four-star hotel combines period features with contemporary design, offering guests stylish rooms and relaxed luxury. Dining is centred around the Oban Brasserie, serving Scottish classics and seasonal seafood, while the in-house Mara Spa provides a haven of relaxation in the heart of the "Gateway to the Isles."

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
  • Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone, and by email, always with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Manage reservations, payments, and billing with accuracy.
  • Liaise with housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain reception and lobby areas to the highest standards.
  • Assist with guest requests, local knowledge, and personalised service.
  • Support the Reception Supervisor/Reception Manager in daily duties as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in hospitality or a customer service role preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.
  • A natural communicator with a warm, welcoming personality.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computers and hotel booking/reservation systems (training provided).
  • Calm under pressure and able to solve problems quickly.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

  • An hourly rate of £13.45 PLUS
