Receptionist - Castle Lodge Care Home, Mere
Secretory (Receiptseoir)
Hours: 30 hours per week (working over 4 days, 0900–1700), including weekend shifts on rota

About the Receptionist Role
As a receptionist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting colleagues across multiple areas, including:
- Filing and maintaining personal records for both staff and residents
- Answering telephones with professionalism
- Greeting visitors warmly and efficiently
- Assisting with diary management and clerical tasks
- Collaborating with our activities team
Key Requirements:
- Acute attention to detail
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong IT and computer knowledge
- Warm, approachable personality for building relationships across diverse backgrounds

About You
As the first point of contact in our care home, it’s essential that you embody our customer service ethos. You will need:
Experience & Competencies:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or administrative support professional
- Frontline customer service (both face-to-face and on the phone)
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient IT skills, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Email communication
- Internet research and navigation
