Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Bricklehurst Manor School, Stonegate, TN5 7EL
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Mon to Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm including 1 x 5pm finish
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role

We're looking for a Receptionist to join our dedicated team, providing a warm welcome to pupils, families, visitors and colleagues while delivering outstanding administrative support across the school. This is a varied role where you'll play a vital part in the smooth day-to-day running of our provision and help ensure every child receives the best possible support.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for the school, creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting a wide range of administrative activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting visitors and managing reception professionally and courteously.
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries and taking accurate messages.
- Managing visitor sign-in procedures and maintaining site security.
- Coordinating meeting rooms, refreshments and office facilities.
- Processing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Supporting pupil admissions, referrals and reviews.
- Maintaining confidential records and ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
- Providing administrative support across HR, finance, examinations and facilities where required.
- Supporting the organisation of meetings, events and school communications.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the school operates efficiently.

Who We’re Looking For
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required
- Previous reception or administrative experience, ideally within education, healthcare or a similar environment.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Can prioritise competing workloads and remain calm under pressure.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive team while also using their own initiative.
- Driving licence required
