Are you a highly organised front-of-house professional who thrives on variety? Do you master the art of first impressions?
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Receptionist to join our team in Croydon. This is a unique, dual-front role where no two days are the same. You will balance front-of-house excellence for both a busy dental practice and our corporate office operations, ensuring every visitor—whether a patient or a corporate executive—receives a seamless, world-class welcome.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role bridges the clinical and corporate worlds. Your main responsibilities will include:
- First Impressions: Greet all patients and corporate guests with a friendly, professional manner and promptly notify the relevant team members.
- Front-of-House Control: Manage incoming phone calls, screen enquiries, and oversee the main reception desk for both sides of the building.
- Patient Administration: Organise and accurately schedule dental patient appointments and maintain up-to-date patient files.
- Office Operations: Handle incoming/outgoing post, deliveries, couriers, and provide administrative support (scanning, copying, typing) for the database.
- Clinical Support: Assist the clinical team with basic environment maintenance, including regular autoclave runs, instrument storage, and dental stock cupboard organisation.
- Facilities Collaboration: Monitor essential clinical/office supplies and assist the property team with day-to-day administrative or operational requests.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
