Receptionist

Location: Bisham Abbey, Marlow, SL7 1RR
Salary: £26,437.00 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full time 40 hours per week flexible to cover various shift patterns including Monday-Sunday, early shift Mon- Fri is 6am-2.30pm, late shift Mon-Fri is 12.30pm-9pm, early shift Sat-Sun is 7am-1pm, late shift Sat-Sun is 1pm-7pm.

As a Receptionist in our Serco Leisure team, you’ll be the welcoming face of Bisham Abbey, helping customers, visitors and partners have a positive experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll provide outstanding customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre and Hybrid workspace.

In this role, you'll help create a positive impact on communities by ensuring visitors receive excellent service, facilities are well maintained, and every interaction reflects our values of trust, care and pride.

What you’ll do as a Receptionist

  • Welcome visitors, customers and guests, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Answer and direct telephone and email enquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Take bookings, process payments and support customers throughout their journey.
  • Promote centre services, facilities and special offers to help grow participation and business opportunities.
  • Support the operation of the Hybrid workspace, including room setup, customer sign-in processes and daily facility checks.
  • Carry out administrative tasks and work closely with colleagues, event organisers, catering teams and facilities management to ensure services run smoothly.

  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a varied shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays.
