Receptionist
Receptionist – Part-Time
Location: Based – St Albans, AL1 2RE
Hours: Permanent, Part-Time – Wednesday 8am–5pm, Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm
Premier Foods is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organised permanent Receptionist to provide part-time, reception assistance at our St Albans Head Office.
This opportunity suits someone excelling in front-of-house roles, committed to delivering a warm, efficient, and polished service. You’ll be instrumental in shaping first impressions for visitors, contractors, and colleagues alike.
What You’ll Do
Covering reception, your responsibilities will include:
- Answering and directing incoming calls via the switchboard
- Meeting and greeting visitors, offering refreshments, and notifying hosts of arrivals
- Ensuring reception remains clean, professional, and welcoming
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing post and courier services
- Booking taxis with preferred suppliers and maintaining booking logs
- Supporting Health & Safety requirements for visitors and contractors
- Raising purchase orders and processing invoices (taxis, couriers, stationery)
- Assisting the Facilities team with site information and administrative tasks
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for candidates who bring confidence, adaptability, and attention to detail to this role. Ideally, you’ll possess:
- Previous experience in a busy reception or switchboard environment
- A professional yet friendly approach, able to engage with senior stakeholders effectively
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when using company systems
- Robust IT skills and experience with multiple computer systems
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in fast-paced settings
