Receptionist
Location: HX1 5BE
Pay Rate: £14.75 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday 06:45 - 13:15 (6.5 hours per day)
Every other Saturday
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable individual to join our team as a Receptionist / Building Administrator, working within a modern office environment. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, whilst also taking responsibility for the daily opening and closing of the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening the building and preparing reception areas for the working day.
- Securing and locking the building at the end of the day.
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Greeting visitors, contractors and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Managing visitor sign-in procedures and maintaining accurate records.
- Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Providing general administrative support as required.

What We're Looking For
- Previous reception, customer service or administrative experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for building access and security.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
Training
A comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided. This will include:
- An initial one-week training programme at our sister location in Leeds.
- First Aid training.
- Ongoing support to ensure you are fully confident in the role.
- All travel expenses incurred during the training period will be reimbursed.

Security Screening
Due to the nature of our client's operations, the successful candidate will be required to undergo enhanced pre-employment screening, including:
- Criminal record checks.
- Employment history verification.
- Identity and right-to-work checks.
Employment will be subject to satisfactory completion of all screening requirements.
