Receptionist

We are seeking a professional, organised and friendly Receptionist to join our busy Chelmsford office. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional impression of the firm while supporting the day-to-day running of the office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
  • Managing meeting room bookings and preparing rooms for client meetings.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new clients, including ID documentation and initial enquiries.
  • Supporting fee earners and administrative teams with general office tasks.
  • Maintaining reception and client areas to a high standard.
  • Processing incoming emails and enquiries and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate team.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Present a professional and confident manner, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Possess good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have previous reception, customer service or administrative experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive and team-oriented approach.
