The Role

We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised administrator to join the DMU Venues team, providing vital event administration and hands-on support in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

In this varied role, you'll play a key part in coordinating our busy bookings calendar, managing a range of administrative tasks while working closely with colleagues and external clients.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small but passionate team responsible for coordinating room hire at The Venue and across campus, bringing to life a variety of events from conferences, dance shows, dinners, exhibitions and much more.


Ideal Candidate

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive individual who has a positive, can-do attitude.

  • You'll be a confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • With excellent organisational skills, you'll be able to manage a varied workload and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • You'll be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and enthusiastic about adopting digital tools and technology to improve processes and deliver excellent service.

The standard working hours for this role are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am–4:00pm Friday. As part of a team delivering a diverse programme of events throughout the year, you'll also need the flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends to support operational requirements.

Interviews will take place week commencing 10th August 2026.
