Full Job Description

Receptionist & Administrator

Care First: Further Education Campuses – Great Barr Campus is the primary base – however, you will be required to work across Tamworth Campus and Walsall Campus

Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent | Term Time plus two weeks

Eligibility: UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.


About the Role

As College Receptionist Administrator, you will be at the centre of college life - supporting staff, pupils and families while ensuring our administrative systems are accurate, compliant and well organised. Most importantly, you’ll share our values of care, integrity and teamwork, and want to make a real difference in a college community that genuinely values its people.

Your role will include:

  • To act as the first point of contact, providing a friendly and professional welcome to visitors, parents and professionals, while managing calls, emails and enquiries effectively.
  • Maintain reception operations, including visitor sign-in, safeguarding compliance, keeping the area tidy, and handling post and deliveries.
  • Provide confidential administrative support, maintaining accurate records and databases such as attendance and contact details.
  • Support admissions processes, including responding to enquiries and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Assist with the organisation of meetings, reports, correspondence and general office coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding requirements and confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Contribute to the wider team by supporting additional tasks, attending training and meetings, and undertaking other duties as required.
