Receptionist

Location: Woking Hospital Department: Admin Type: Bank, Part Time Salary: £13.10 per hour

About the Role

As a Receptionist at our hospital, you’ll possess excellent communication, IT, and typing/keyboard skills. You’re also able to explain sensitive or complicated information in a way that’s clear, sympathetic, and easy to understand. Ideally, you have experience working in healthcare administration or on a front desk/reception role.

Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Help patients and visitors feel comfortable during their time in the department
  • Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships
  • Answer the phone, handle enquiries, and assist with appointment bookings
  • Welcome patients in person, directing them to the appropriate changing or waiting rooms
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations in the department
  • Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms & conditions documentation
