Receptionist

Receptionist – Ettington Park Hotel & Spa

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 8BU

Salary: Starting at £13.50 per hour + service charge + outstanding colleague benefits

Job Type: Part-time | Permanent | 24 hours per week


About the Role

Come and join our team at Ettington Park Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

You will work in a breathtaking Neo-Gothic masterpiece nestled within 40 acres of parkland and woodland near Stratford-upon-Avon. This four-star luxury retreat blends dramatic architecture and discreet elegance, providing a dynamic environment where every day is unique.

As a Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality, ensuring guests experience:

  • A warm welcome tailored to their needs
  • Personalised service with timeless British charm
  • Memorable stays through candlelit fine dining and tranquil stay

The role is ideal if you thrive in a supportive, welcoming environment, love delivering consistent, high-quality service, and want to grow within a professional hospitality setting.


Responsibilities

  • Front-of-house excellence: Greet, check in, ensure smooth logistical arrangements for guests, and maintain highly responsive communication.
  • Personalising guest experiences: Anticipate needs, offer thoughtful recommendations, and ensure warmth and enjoyment.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with the Front Office team to deliver exceptional, consistent service and elevate guest experiences.
  • Operational support: Manage reservations, maintain systems (such as Hotel Management Software) and proactively anticipate guest requirements.
  • Weekend coverage: This is a part-time role (24 hours/week), including rotational weekend shifts, depending on demand.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Receptionist or Front Office role in a luxury 4- or 5-star hotel (highly desirable).
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to maintain enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficient in hotel reservation systems (preferably Opera PMS) and Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Outstanding communicative, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with a genuine desire to enhance guest experiences.
