About The Role
We are seeking a confident, professional Receptionist to deliver a welcoming, efficient and well organised front of house services.
You will act as the first point of contact for visitors, callers and internal colleagues, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent customer care and smooth operational support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide a warm, professional and efficient reception experience, ensuring all visitors and callers feel welcomed and supported.
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, handling all interactions promptly, courteously and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining the reception area, processes and systems to ensure they run smoothly, safely and in line with organisational expectations.
- Managing incoming enquiries, signposting accurately, and ensuring information is recorded, passed on or escalated appropriately.
- Carrying out a range of administrative tasks that support the wider organisation, including documentation, bookings, scheduling and coordination tasks.
- Supporting internal teams by ensuring messages, enquiries and requests are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Responding to unexpected situations calmly and proactively, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Ensuring reception practices meet organisational policies, safeguarding expectations, confidentiality requirements and health and safety standards.

Requirements
What we're looking for
Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Team work and interpersonal skills

Desirable
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role
- Knowledge of appointment booking systems or office management software
- Knowledge of the education industry.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
