The Opportunity
Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £12.80 - £13.80 per hour
Hours: 43 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:45am - 6:30pm)
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our welcoming dental practice.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an essential role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a busy environment, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Working closely with our clinicians, nursing team, and Practice Manager, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while providing outstanding support to our patients.
The Role
As a Receptionist, You Will
- Welcome patients in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Manage appointments and maintain clinicians' diaries efficiently.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries.
- Assist patients with bookings, queries, and general information.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GDPR and company policies.
- Process payments and manage daily financial transactions.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams to deliver an excellent patient experience.
- Carry out general administrative duties as required.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable, and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using computer systems and learning new software.
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable, professional, and a great team player.
Previous experience in a reception, administration, customer service, retail, hospitality, or healthcare role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Experience within a dental or healthcare setting is an advantage but not required.
