The Department of Chemistry is looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic new Receptionist

This is a key role in the Department as you will be the first point of contact for staff, students, and visitors in a very large, busy reception office, covering a varied and vast number of duties. This includes providing postal, courier, administrative service, and assist with the Mifare security system as required.

The successful applicant will have:

  • GCSE's in English and Mathematics
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent level of practical experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Self-confidence
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels with tact and diplomacy
