Receptionist (Seasonal Contract)

As the first and last point of contact, our Receptionist is the face of PYRO. We are looking for a conductor for the dining room for a seasonal contract between May and mid-September. You will manage the flow of the restaurant, welcome guests to our garden bar, and ensure every arrival feels like a homecoming. We need someone who can handle a fast-paced Borough service with grace, intelligence, and a genuine smile. Note: While this is a seasonal contract ending in mid-September, there may be the option to extend based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Hospitality: A natural ability to deliver world-class service standards with a "taverna-style" warmth that makes every guest feel at home.
  • Organisational Brilliance: Proven experience managing reservations, floor plans, and guest flow in high-volume and premium venues.
  • Commercial Mindset: Ability to maximise covers and manage the "books" to drive revenue while maintaining a seamless guest experience.
  • Technical Savvy: Experience with industry-standard reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, or ResDiary) and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Communication Skills: A confident, professional phone manner and the ability to liaise effectively between the kitchen and the floor team.
  • Peak Season Leadership: A proactive approach to managing the front-of-house arrival experience during high-intensity terrace hours.
  • Availability: Full availability to complete the contract duration from May through to mid-September.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
