The Role
At Soho House, as the Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in delivering seamless front-of-house service while supporting the day-to-day coordination of Club operations. As the first point of contact for members and guests, you’ll set the tone for an exceptional and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive—with a strong focus on discretion, efficiency, and elegance.

Key Duties
- Welcome members by name (if local) and guests with a warm, hospitable manner.
- Handle high-volume phone and email inquiries, including:
- Restaurant, roof, and cinema reservations.
- General guest inquiries and deliveries.
- Messages for members and employees.
- Be well-versed in key menu, hours, amenity pricing, and availability Q&As.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment (reception area, desk, coat check).
- Perform Guest List duties (club floor, clubhouse/, and rooftop if applicable).
- Support, redirect, and problem-solve in real-time, addressing guest concerns and ensuring action items are resolved.
- [Retrieve/manage] coats for guests and check lost items.
- Building relationships with members and guests by communicating both ** positif feedback and flags** to management.
- Foster a positive, approachable atmosphere while staying professional under pressure.
- Assist management in training new hires on Soho House service standards and daily procedures.
- Stay updated on all facilities, offerings, events, and policies to inform guests confidently.

What We Are Looking For
- 2–3 years’ experience in a front desk role.
- Direct experience in luxury hospitality or private members’ clubs.
- Strong leadership and teamwork under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, OpenTable, or equivalents).
- Ability to calmly resolve issues with a guest-first mindset.
(Note: The UK-based salary range for this role is £15.50 per hour. Pay varies globally based on local market rates.)
