Causeway Green Primary School is a 2-form entry primary school with 440 children, age 3 to 11. We are a good school with a dedicated team of staff and a supportive atmosphere. Our school is dedicated to encouraging each pupil to achieve their best.

About the Role

The Governors at Causeway Green Primary School are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Administration Assistant with school office experience to join our caring school. To work as part of a team in the school office.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a professional and efficient reception and administrative service to the parents, staff, and pupils.
  • To act as first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and telephone callers, providing a courteous, professional, and efficient service, ensuring that telephone messages reach the recipient quickly.
  • Welcome and sign in visitors using appropriate security/safeguarding procedures.
  • To provide typing, filing, printing, postage, photocopying, and general administration duties.
  • To maintain adequate supplies of stationery and printed materials for the school office.
  • To collect and distribute post.
  • Checking deliveries/supplies
  • Weekly newsletter
  • Update of school website
  • Daily use of our Parent communication system (School Spider)
  • Daily use of ICT programs including SIMS, FMS, Microsoft Office.
  • Duplicating & distribution of information.
  • Organising and printing of Certificates/Rewards and awards.
  • Booking of school trips and transport
  • Occasional lunchtime duty.
  • To support on parents/open evenings (when required) & any other school events.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the School Business Manager/Office Manager.
  • To maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
  • To adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Resources Duties and Responsibilities

  • Photocopying teacher requirements
  • Development, upkeep, and use of the reprographic equipment
  • Laminating
  • Manage the range of reprographic processes available.
  • Reproduce documents to a high standard including certificates, booklets, class lists

Requirements

We are looking for an applicant who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills
  • Has excellent organisational skills
  • Has experience of working in a School office environment
  • Able to work as a team and under own initiative
  • Willing to undertake relevant training
