Receptionist/Administrator
Salary: £25,584 – £26,824 pro rata (Band C SCP 5–8) Hours: 37 hours per week (rota basis, evenings/meetings, term-time + 3 weeks)
About the Academy
Shireland CBSO Academy is a groundbreaking state school opening in September 2023, the first of its kind in the UK to partner with a professional orchestra: the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). Based in West Bromwich (Providence Place), the academy serves students across Sandwell and the West Midlands, welcoming Year 7 in 2023 and expanding to Years 7, 8 & 12 from September 2024. No prior instrument experience is required—students are chosen for their passion and potential in music.
The academy is part of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, offering staff growth opportunities across schools.

Role Responsibilities
- Welcome and manage visitors in alignment with safeguarding policies and academy procedures.
- Provide general administrative support, including correspondence drafting.
- Filing and photocopying.
Support in managing queries and complaints management.
