Receptionist/Administrator (Full-Time) – Murray House Health Hub
Location: Murray House, Jordan Hill Business Park, North Oxford (OX2 8TA) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Hours to be covered: 08:00–18:00 daily (rotating shifts) Paying Body: Oxford Health NHSTrust
About the Role
Murray House is seeking a dynamic and motivated Full-Time Receptionist/Administrator to support the operations of a new outpatients Health Hub based within North Oxford. This service consists of:
- Specialist dentistry
- Podiatry
- 0-19 Children’s Services
The role requires: ✔ Effective time management and prioritisation of duties ✔ Proactive initiative in delivering excellent service ✔ Familiarity with NHS processes (preferred but not essential)
This is a core position with no onsite parking available.
Core Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for:
- Patients and referring partners at Murray House Health Hub
- Administrative, clinical, and operational teams
You will:
- Manage day-to-day appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth patient flow
- Assist with queries and referrals relevant to dentistry, podiatry, and 0-19 Children’s Services
- Support operational processes within Murray House and AirwaveopSys Co-location
- Work collaboratively with staff to deliver higher education-quality services
- Uphold NHS service standards while ensuring adherence to prearranged procedures
- Balance multiple priorities with clear resolution to patient and team needs

WORKING SCHEDULE
Shifts must cover 08:00 to 18:00 (7.5 hours), working a mix of textbooking and onward referral to ensure operational efficiency.
Essential Criteria
✅ Strong reception/administrative experience (NHS or healthcare preferred) ✅ Ability to multitask, prioritise, and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment ✅ Excellent communication skills (in person and via phone) ✅ Proven admin/Web, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and IT-based libraries systems ✅ Willingness to embrace change in health service operations
