We’re looking for a flexible and customer-focused Bank Administrator/Receptionist to support our busy hospital teams. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in delivering a high-quality, efficient service to both patients and colleagues, adapting to business needs across reception, administration, and medical records. Accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential in everything you do.
This vacancy is offering a bank/flexi contract allowing you to work shifts that work around your current commitments - Mon-Sat between hospital reception working hours of 7am-17:30pm
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients and visitors, providing a friendly and professional front-of-house experience
- Managing enquiries, directing visitors, and handling incoming calls
- Accurately entering patient data and maintaining records within hospital systems
- Booking patient appointments and processing referrals
- Preparing and sending patient correspondence
- Supporting medical records, including scanning, filing, and preparing notes for clinics and audits
- Maintaining organization and housekeeping within records and administrative areas
- Ensuring full compliance with GDPR, company policies, and health & safety standards

You will have previously worked in a similar role, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good computer skills. Key to this role is your ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, your understanding of information governance, and your ability to work flexibly within the needs of the service.
What we'll look for in you
- Previous administrative or reception experience, ideally in a healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy
- Confident communication skills and a professional, patient-focused approach
- Ability to manage a varied workload and adapt to changing priorities
- Good IT skills and experience using administrative systems
- A team player who works efficiently and takes pride in delivering high standards of service
