We’re looking for a flexible and customer-focused Bank Administrator/Receptionist to support our busy hospital teams. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in delivering a high-quality, efficient service to both patients and colleagues. Adaptability, accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential.
This vacancy offers a bank/flexi contract, allowing you to work shifts between Mon–Sat,Aligning with hospital reception hours (7am–5:30pm).
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing a welcoming, friendly, and professional front-of-house experience for patients and visitors.
- Managing enquiries, directing visitors, and handling incoming calls effectively.
- Accurately entering patient data and maintaining secure records in hospital systems.
- Booking patient appointments and processing referrals efficiently.
- Preparing and dispatching patient correspondence, ensuring clarity and confidentiality.
- Supporting medical records, including scanning, filing, and preparing notes for clinics/’audits.
- Maintaining organization, housekeeping, and compliance with GDPR, policies, and health & safety standards.

Key performance drivers:
- Proven administrative/reception experience (preferably in healthcare).
- Exceptional attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Confident communication, patient-centric approach, and teamwork.
- Ability to manage flexible workloads and adapt to dynamic priorities.
- Proficiency with IT systems and administrative tools.

Requirements
- Previous role experience (within administration, reception).
- Proficiency in data handling and compliance (especially GDPR & healthcare).
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a team-focused mindset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to health & safety standards.
