Receptionist / Bartender (Crew Member) – Moxy Glasgow Merchant City
This position is based on a full-time contract.
Gross salary: £13.13 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a hi-energy, welcoming team member to join the Moxy Glasgow Merchant City Crew. Whether it’s greeting guests, checking them in and out, or crafting drinks and delivering hospitality-inspired service—you’ll embody the Moxy spirit with passion and drive.
The role is dynamic and fast-paced, combining reception, bar, and housekeeping duties under one roof.
Responsibilities

Guest Service:
- Helping guests and creating memorable, positive experiences
- Managing hotel room inventory efficiently
- Assisting with check-in/check-out procedures while upholding the Moxy way—playful, personalised and effortless

Food & Beverage:
- Operating Food & Beverage outlets—pouring drinks, preparing cocktails, managing bar tasks
- Preparing food, cleaning, tidying, and maintaining Back-of-House (BOH) areas
- Taking deliveries, restocking stock, and ensuring compliance with operations

Financial & Administrative:
- Handling all bills, payments and receipts accurately and securely
- Supporting compliance with food safety, licensing and health & safety regulations

Team & Brand Support:
- Supporting other Crew Members and contributing to a positive team culture
- Following directions from Crew Leaders while meeting deadlines
- Promoting the Moxy brand and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme to all guests

Requirements
Must-have:
- High energy & a "do-it-yourself" attitude—no task is too small if it contributes to an amazing experience
- Strong people skills with a love for engaging with guests in a fun, warm way
- Ability to multitask and balance speed with quality in a high-pressure environment
- Working knowledge of British English (other languages are a big plus!)
- Pleasing, approachable and professional attitude—correctspeed isn’t lazy speed!
Nice to have:
- Experience in the service industry (hotel, bar, restaurant preferred)
- Familiarity with hotel systems like Opera or Micros
- An understanding of food safety, licensing and regulating policies
- Personal experience of travel and staying in hotels
