We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to join our reception team at Royal Preston Hospital.
Role Overview
As an Outpatient Receptionist/Clerical Officer, you will provide front of house service to all visiting outpatients, while playing a key role in the provision of Outpatient Appointment Booking Services.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective outpatient reception and appointments service
- Adherence to Trust protocols, ensuring confidentiality and integrity
- Deal with all aspects of the outpatient appointment function on the Trust’s computerised patient record system (QCPR)
- Participate in the virtual receptionist process, activating outpatient appointments, updating patient demographics, and out-coming clinic attendance
- Support the ongoing Outpatient Digitisation process

Skills and Knowledge
- Multi-skilled following training
- Full understanding and working knowledge of various reception areas and the basic functionality of clinics covered
Working Hours
Core hours of work are between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Occasional 12pm-8pm shift to cover evening clinics. Willingness to work across both sites (Preston and Chorley) according to the needs of the service.
