We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to join our reception team at Royal Preston Hospital.
About the Role
As an Outpatient Receptionist/Clerical Officer, you will provide front of house service to all visiting outpatients, while playing a key role in the provision of Outpatient Appointment Booking Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective outpatient reception and appointments service
- Adherence to Trust protocols
- Confidentiality and integrity in all duties
- Deal with all aspects of the outpatient appointment function on the Trust’s computerised patient record system (QCPR)
- Actively participate in virtual receptionist process
- Activate outpatient appointments, updating patient demographics and out-coming clinic attendance
- Support the ongoing Outpatient Digitisation process

Requirements
- Multi-skilled following training
- Full understanding and working knowledge of various reception areas and the basic functionality of clinics covered
Working Hours
- Core hours of work are between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
- Willingness to work a 12pm-8pm shift on occasion to cover evening clinics
- Willingness to work across both sites (Preston and Chorley) according to the needs of the service
