About the Role
St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Technician to support the Hairdressing & Beauty Department. This role involves providing a smooth and efficient reception service under the direction of the Deputy Head of School.
Ideal candidates will: ✔ Enjoy working in a customer-facing environment ✔ Have experience in a similar role (preferred) ✔ Be available for:
- Monday & Tuesday evenings
- Thursday evenings
- Friday mornings
Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be required to:
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring students, staff, and visitors receive a welcoming experience.
- Manage reception duties within the Hairdressing & Beauty Department.
- Maintain organisational systems, including appointment bookings and records.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed by the department.
- Work flexibly within the scheduled hours to support smooth operations.

Requirements & Skills
No specific formal qualifications are mandatory, but we are looking for applicants with:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in a reception/administrative role is highly beneficial.
- Availability to work on the specified evenings and mornings.
- A positive attitude and commitment to customer service.
