The Enterprise Transformation Programme
The Enterprise Transformation Programme is a multi-year journey focused on transforming the Haleon business to build an organisation wired for excellence, enabling us to deliver our Win as One strategy and drive growth through continuous improvement. The programme aims to strengthen the heartbeat of our business while making us more agile, efficient, and innovative, including enabling our use of SAP S/4HANA.
The Business Process Expert (BPE) works alongside Business Process Owners (BPOs) and functional teams to design, govern, and continuously improve end-to-end business processes.
Role Overview: Treasury Business Process Expert
Business Process Experts (BPE) play a critical role in shaping and improving processes to deliver business value. They collaborate with BPOs and other BPEs to:
- manage current processes, ensuring proposed changes align with future objectives.
- define the future end-to-end process vision and roadmap.
- create high-quality, user-centric processes with strong governance.
- drive successful transitions from current to future states through disciplined execution and adoption oversight.
This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of business processes, excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, project management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The Treasury Business Process Expert will have a strong, practical understanding of Haleon’s Treasury operating model, including readiness activities for the Enterprise Transformation Programme. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing current-state Treasury processes to identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification, and automation.
- Translating Treasury requirements into robust future-state designs across:
- Cash positioning
- Liquidity management
- Bank connectivity
- Payments and collections
- Bank account and master data governance
- Settlements
- Foreign exchange and hedging
- Intercompany flows
- Treasury accounting inputs
- Reporting and control activities

The role ensures that Treasury data flows are complete, controlled, and decision-useful, supporting:
- Accurate financial reporting
- Real-time visibility
- Stronger risk management
- Effective collaboration with Finance, Technology, Tax, Commercial, and external banking partners
Preferred Experience:
- SAP S/4HANA, treasury management systems, bank connectivity platforms, data governance, reporting tools, and transformation delivery—especially if involving process design, migration readiness, testing, adoption, control embedding, and transition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Plan and Coordination
- Collaborate with BPOs and functional teams to ensure end-to-end process designs meet strategic objectives.
- Facilitate workshops to gather input, refine recommendations, and socialise finalised process designs across functions.
- Partner with BPOs to document “to-be” processes while evaluating “as-is” processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and duplication.
- Drive alignment and governance decisions and ensure timely stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with functional areas and interdependent programmes, maintaining alignment with project timelines.
2. Readiness for Delivery
- Support Functional Leaders in assessing readiness for programme delivery, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.
- Assist the business change team in managing people implications, defining, and delivering interventions to support successful adoption.
- Develop process documentation and partner with Training & Adoption teams to create tailored training and upskilling programmes for colleagues.
3. Managing Transition Phases
- Work with the Business Continuity Manager to establish and manage interim operating states during transitions while ensuring continuity.
- Collaborate with operational teams to design and implement interim processes, minimising disruption.
- Ensure a sustainable transition from interim to permanent processes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Communicate clearly and adaptively to engage diverse audiences in programme objectives.
- Champion the process vision, ensuring it drives programme decision-making and fosters effective feedback loops.
Required Experience and Key Competencies

Experience
- Proven experience working in complex, global organisations, ideally in Consumer Health or FMCG sectors.
- SAP S/4HANA experience is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyse complex processes and improve workflow patterns.
- Process focus: Leverage deep process knowledge to drive and implement change.
- System understanding: Experience with data flows, information tools, and emerging trends.
- Effective governance: Apply policies to identify control gaps and design solutions.
- Machine performance tracking: Review processes using KPIs, SLAs, and compliance.
- Project management skills: Plan, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Controls and compliance: In-depth understanding and close collaboration with risk management.

- Applying business knowledge for informed decision-making and identifying opportunities.
- Leveraging leading practices, regulatory, and competitor insights.
- Redesigning operating procedures and developing policies and systems.
