Wear Recovery is a recovery-focused substance misuse service providing drug and alcohol treatment to adults across South and North Sefton. The service delivers a range of interventions from open access, Harm Reduction, medically assisted treatment, and specific recovery interventions including 1-1 and group delivery. We also offer a range of specialised Psycho-Social Interventions to aid recovery
W are looking for a Recovery Champion to work across all Sfton sites with the vision and passion to help us shape the way we provide services to individuals whose lives have been affected by drug and alcohol to enhance our service delivery using their lived experience of substance misuse to support our clients' long-term recovery.
Where Sefton
Part Time Hours 37.5 per week
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours

The main purpose of this role will be to provide dedicated, trauma informed recovery support to individuals with a history of rough sleeping living in Reading’s commissioned supported accommodation, helping them stabilise, sustain their tenancies, and progress in their recovery through a six month Recovery Motivator pilot.
About the role
Meet individuals to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and encourage individuals to engage with substance use treatment Create links with stakeholders and local communities Attend team meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies Provide personalised recovery coaching to individuals
About you
Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental toward Service Users Confident in working alone as well as part of a team Can remain calm under pressure Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available
What we will give to you
25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
