Recovery Coordinator - Group Work Facilitator

Overview

We are excited to invite applications for a Recovery Coordinator - Group Work Facilitator based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Your role will involve delivering and developing group/pod work programmes, ensuring that service users access the right interventions at the right time for their needs. You’ll work within the Nuneaon team, supporting service users through their treatment and recovery journey.

  • Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time as per Change Grow Live’s policy)
  • Note: For part-time roles, salary and benefits are pro rata based on contracted hours.

No two days are the same. You’ll work with individuals, so being flexible, curious, proactive, and a strong listener is essential.


Responsibilities

Supporting Service Users

  • Offer guidance and support to service users from their initial point of entry through their treatment/recovery journey.
  • Tailor workshops and interventions to individual and group needs to ensure accessibility and relevance.
  • Monitor group engagement and interest to develop programmes effectively.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users to access relevant partnership services (e.g., mental health, social care).
  • Promote social (re)integration, supporting service users to lead meaningful and purposeful lives through recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and broader communities.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • Deliver group/pod work programs in community settings and occasionally outreach venues.
  • Promote involvement from carers, service users, and communities in service and recovery processes.

About You

required

This role requires substance misuse expertise and experience working within similar fields. Strong interpersonal skills are a must.

  • Experience managing groups/pods and addressing challenging behaviour or conflict.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written expression, along with strong IT competencies.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and with good time management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage change and reforge it through a service-user-centric lens.
