Recovery Coordinator
Recovery Coordinator - North Tyneside Recovery Partnership
Location: Station Road, North Tyneside, NE28 8JR
Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240 per annum (starting salary depends on experience and progression within the band)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am–5pm)
- One flexible early finish per week
- Occasional Wednesday evening work as service needs require

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Coordinator to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. In this role, you will:
- Deliver person-centred recovery planning and case management across all stages of the recovery journey
- Engage with service users from initial assessment and early engagement to sustained recovery
- Ensure holistic, tailored support that promotes long-term positive outcomes
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to build trusting relationships and help individuals overcome barriers

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing recovery plans and interventions
- Conduct triage, screening, and comprehensive assessments
- Deliver one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions
- Complete risk assessments, safeguarding plans, and case management documentation
- Support service users in accessing treatment, recovery, and community resources
- Deliver harm reduction interventions and promote recovery-focused outcomes
- Maintain accurate records using online case management systems
- Support prison in-reach and positive community reintegration where required
- Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold Waythrough’s values of kindness, courage, and respect
About You
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- Substance misuse
- Criminal justice
- Mental health
- Social care
- Related sectors
Ideally, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) (or a willingness to work toward)
- Experience delivering one-to-one or group interventions
- An understanding of recovery-focused and harm reduction approaches
- Strong communication and partnership working skills
- Experience managing risk, safeguarding, and complex caseloads
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- (Desirable) A driving licence and access to a vehicle
