RAC Recovery Driver - £37,558.32 OTE (Guaranteed minimum: £32,196.18)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotating shifts Shift Times: 0800–2000 / 1100–2300
About the Role
As an RAC Recovery Driver, you’ll play a critical role in supporting RAC members whose vehicles cannot be repaired at the roadside. You will be a vital part of our team, driving our commitment to delivering exceptional service and helping us grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing frontline support to RAC members in recovery situations.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of recovery operations, including transporting vehicles.
- Managing complex situations with professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and technical experts from our headquarters.
- Adhering to all safety protocols to minimise risks for yourself and members.
- Operate modern recovery vehicles confidently, including handling all-weather conditions.

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
- A passion for helping people and delivering excellent customer service in challenging situations.
- Strong ability to work independently with periodic guidance from the RAC support team, demonstrating flexibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to focus under pressure or dangerous conditions.
- Exceptional vehicle handling skills and experience adapting to different driving environments.
- A valid full driving licence (category C (HGV 2) minimum required).
- A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- A digital drivers/tachograph card.
- Experience or willingness to embrace new vehicle technology and computerised tools.
