Overview

Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of our service users. We provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support, treating every individual as unique and empowering them to access the right treatment and care options.

Our core values are: Be open, be compassionate, and be bold. We apply these every day to help people change direction, grow, and live fulfilling lives as involved and contributing members of society.

We are recruiting a Recovery Motivator to join our Psychology team. This is a new role designed for someone with lived experience of substance use who is passionate about supporting others through psychological therapies.

You will work alongside qualified psychologists to facilitate group-based psychological interventions including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This is a co-facilitation role where you will draw on your lived experience to support service users in engaging with and benefiting from evidence-based psychological approaches.

The Psychology team is a specialist team within Brighton and Hove Recovery Service. Our work is rooted in the belief that psychological understanding and lived experience together create powerful, transformative support. Your role will be fundamental to bringing that belief to life.

Our service operates flexibly to support clients, including late openings during the week and a Saturday morning provision. You will be expected to take part in a rota alongside Recovery Coordinators to support these hours, and to undertake other duties as required to meet the needs of the service or service users.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
