Recovery Support Worker – Enhanced Community Recovery Service

We welcome compassionate, reliable and forward-thinking individuals to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll be providing meaningful support to adults living with a diverse range of mental health needs, helping them work toward greater independence.

Shift Patterns
- Flexible to work Between the hours of: Days (Between 08:00 - 22:00), Sleeping nights (22:00 - 08:00) Evenings, Weekends.

About You
You may already have experience supporting people with mental health needs — if not, we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your empathy, and your ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
You’ll Need
- An understanding of mental health and its impact on daily life
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills, including Word, email and basic databases
- A calm, positive and professional attitude

An NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care is beneficial, but not essential — we will support you to work towards it.
About The Service
Our Stafford service supports adults living with a range of mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. Some individuals may present with self-harm behaviours, substance misuse or verbal aggression.
We also support people with forensic backgrounds who may be under Ministry of Justice (MOJ) conditions and working alongside Firs team professionals. It’s a busy and dynamic environment with regular involvement from multi-disciplinary teams, so confidence, resilience and effective communication are key.
