Recovery Worker

Recovery Worker – East Molesey, Surrey

Location: East Molesey, Surrey

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,877.80–£30,868.31 per annum (Salary reflects full earning potential; starting salary depends on experience and progression within the band)

The Opportunity

The Croft House – A 12-Hour Supported Housing Service

Located in East Molesey (Elmbridge, Surrey), The Croft House supports men and women with a primary diagnosis of mental health illness under the Care Programme Approach (CPA, both standard and enhanced).

Residents may also face:

  • Difficulties with tenancy management
  • Substance use challenges
  • Engagement with professional recovery programmes, such as I-Access and Catalyst

Applicants must:

  • Be residents of Surrey County Council
  • Be aged 18–64 at the point of referral

About the Role

As a Recovery Worker, you’ll inspire and empower individuals to regain control and confidence in their lives. In collaboration with residents, you’ll develop personalised recovery plans to help them achieve goals like:

  • Improving daily living skills
  • Managing finances
  • Accessing work, leisure, or education opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Creating and adapting recovery-focused support plans
  • Assisting with daily activities that promote independence
  • Helping navigate professional services and resources
  • Building trust and long-term relationships with residents

  • A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
  • Flexibility, creativity, and resilience under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for improving lives and promoting independence

Required Skills & Experience

  • No prior experience needed—full training provided
  • Preferred: Understanding of mental health issues or lived experience in recovery

Work Environment

  • Independent work alongside team collaboration
  • Shift-based roster, including some on-call duties
  • Must be comfortable working within enhanced safeguarding procedures
