Recovery Worker – East Cheshire North Supported Housing
Location: Princess Court, Princess Crescent, Middlewich, Cheshire, CW10 0QL
Working Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £25,877.80 - £30,868.31 per annum (Starting salaries depend on experience within the band)

Our services range from 24-hour residential care with nursing to floating support in clients’ homes, often requiring evenings, weekends, or on-called shifts.
About the Service: Princess Court
Princess Court is a 24-hour supported housing service for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Some residents may have multiple, complex needs, requiring tailored support across various areas.
Your role as a Recovery Worker involves:
- Tailored personalised support that changes daily based on residents’ needs.
- Assisting with practical and emotional skills to help clients reach life goals and achieve greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
To support individuals in:
- Thriving (mental and physical well-being) and achieving their personal goals.
- Developing independent living skills, including:
- Budgeting
- Community engagement
- Access to appropriate services
- Encouraging choice, control, and active participation in decision-making.
- Ensuring a professional and critical safety-minded service, including:
- Ongoing well-being and welfare assessments.
- Compliance with legal regulations and confidentiality (GDPR compliance).
- Maintaining detailed, accurate records.

Keywork & Case Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, crafting personalised, achievable recovery plans aligned with their aspirations.
- Promote emotional, physical, and mental well-being, ensuring safe risk assessments and management are implemented.
- Coordinate with external agencies (e.g., housing teams, healthcare providers) to deliver holistic support.
- Continuously monitor individual needs, wellbeing, and progress.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Support the daily running of the service, including housing-related tasks.
- Help achieve service/contract targets collaboratively as part of the wider team.
- Maintain organisational compliance, eight professional conduct policies.
About You: Essential Requirements
This role requires:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health, complex needs, or supported accommodation settings.
- Experience with facilitating therapeutic strategies—e.g., dealing with crisis situations or delivering wellness support.
- Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in helping vulnerable individuals.
- Experience providing housing advice, tenancy support, and budget management.
- Understanding of housing, tenancy, and welfare benefit regulations.
- Ability to support individuals in maintaining safe, independent living (e.g., benefits advice, life skills learning).
