We are currently seeking Recreation Assistants
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting customers as they use our facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. We are looking for individuals who are proactive team players and committed to delivering excellent customer service at all times.
Your duties will include:
- Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment to ensure everything is in top condition.
- A hardworking and conscientious attitude is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of people.
- As the first point of contact for many of our customers, your social skills and professionalism will help create a welcoming and supportive environment.
A full training programme will be provided and for those that want to go further, we will work with you to develop a career path with us.

Hours:
- Casual hours, as and when required.
Responsibilities:
- To supervise and assist the leisure centre customers
- To be a proactive member of the leisure centre team
- An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
- To assist with the preparation, storage, resources and movement of equipment as required

Application Details

- Salary: up to £12.71 per hour (in line with the National Minimum Wage rate from 1st April 2026)
