Job title – Recreation Craftsperson (Forest of Dean)

Salary – £26,959 per annum (plus competitive benefits package)

Contract type – Permanent

Hours – Full-time (37 hours per week, including regular weekends)

The Role

Joining the Recreation Team as a Recreation Craftsperson, your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring cleanliness – Maintain visitor sites and carparks by:

    • Daily waste collection and disposal from bins
    • Litter picking
    • General upkeep and facility maintenance
  • Site security – Operating the unlocking of gates and barriers, following a weekly rota to include:

    • Alternate weekends
    • Regular public holidays
    • Occasional out-of-hours events
  • Visitor experience – Supporting the broader team to deliver a high-quality, safe, and enjoyable experience for guests

  • Operational support – Participating on a seven-day rota to fulfil recreation needs, including a mix of daytime and off-hour tasks.


Where You’ll Work

Location: Based at Beechenhurst, GL16 7EL, covering the entire Forest of Dean.
