About The Role

The Recruiter role at MCS Group offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Based in Craigavon, this position is initially offered on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, with potential for extension or permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing, attracting, and hiring high-quality candidates across various business units.
  • Ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all stakeholders involved.

This role requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, with a focus on:

  • Building strong candidate pipelines.
  • Maintaining effective communication with hiring managers and candidates.

As a key member of the recruitment team, the role involves:

  • Contributing to workforce planning.
  • Supporting employer branding initiatives.
  • Helping the organisation attract top talent to support growth and operational objectives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within fast-moving industries such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Demonstrated success in:
    • Managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.
    • Working in high-volume recruitment environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in:
    • Microsoft Office applications.
    • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • A CIPD qualification or relevant third-level education in HR or related fields, though not mandatory.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for talent sourcing.

Responsibilities

Core duties of the Recruiter include:

  • Overseeing the entire recruitment process, from start to finish.
  • Advertising vacancies and sourcing candidates through:
    • LinkedIn.
    • Online job boards.
    • Social media.
    • Networking.
    • Direct sourcing.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers and stakeholders to:
    • Understand detailed recruitment requirements.
    • Provide market insights to attract the best talent.
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines to meet current and future demands.
  • Managing candidate data within internal systems and ATS, ensuring compliance with:
    • Employment legislation.
    • Company policies.
  • Supporting workforce planning activities by:
    • Anticipating recruitment needs.
    • Developing proactive attraction strategies.
  • Monitoring recruitment trends and analysing hiring data to:
    • Enhance sourcing methods.
    • Improve overall recruitment performance.
  • Delivering a positive candidate experience.
  • Strengthening the employer brand through professional engagement.
