About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems, with a particular focus on tyre services. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented approach. As part of our team, you will ensure that all services are performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering appropriate solutions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a relevant technical qualification in automotive engineering or a related field, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous experience working in a tyre service or automotive workshop is highly desirable. Strong mechanical skills, familiarity with diagnostic tools, and a good understanding of vehicle safety standards are essential. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also important. A valid driving license is required, and a clean driving record is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including tyre fitting, balancing, and alignment services.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and provide accurate assessments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, costs, and recommended services.
- Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry advancements.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in achieving departmental goals.
