In September 2025, we launched Grapple Law—an AI-powered legal platform designed to make legal support more affordable and accessible. Think “legal ChatGPT,” but with the ability to send legal-headed correspondence and help users resolve workplace disputes.
Grapple’s growth so far
- 4,000+ new users every month
- Monthly revenue of approximately £30,000 and growing
- Around 20 successful settlements negotiated each month
Both businesses are owned by Alex Monaco and operate with ambitious growth plans across legal services and legal technology.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly capable Recruiter to take ownership of recruitment across Monaco Solicitors and Grapple.
This role is heavily focused on recruiting, talent strategy, sourcing, and scaling teams across:
- Legal
- Operations
- Customer support
- Technology functions

You’ll work closely with leadership to attract exceptional talent into a fast-growing, innovative business. HR support exists within the business, so this role is primarily focused on hiring and talent acquisition rather than traditional HR administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across legal, operations, business support, and technology teams
- Partner directly with senior leadership to understand hiring priorities and build effective recruitment strategies
- Write compelling job adverts and manage multiple live vacancies simultaneously
- Build strong talent pipelines for specialist and hard-to-fill roles
- Use innovative sourcing strategies, including:
- LinkedIn outreach
- Direct sourcing
- Referrals
- Market mapping
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, from first contact through to offer stage
- Advise hiring managers on:
- Recruitment best practices
- Market trends
- Salary benchmarking
- Hiring processes
- Improve recruitment systems, workflows, and reporting
- Support onsboarding and hiring coordination to ensure successful new-starter experiences

About You
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- 5+ years’ experience in internal recruitment or talent acquisition
- A strong track record in hiring across multiple functions and seniority levels
- Confidence in direct sourcing candidates and proactively building talent pipelines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to be organised and manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting
- Being tech-savvy and confident using:
- Recruitment platforms
- ATS systems
- LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience recruiting in:
- Legal
- Professional services
- Startups
- Tech businesses (advantageous but not essential)
