The Role (In a Nutshell)

As our Recruitment & Buy Lead, you’ll own the end-to-end hiring pipeline for our frontline and operational roles (e.g., drivers, warehouse staff, direct sales). Your focus? Volume, speed, and quality—ensuring high-turnover roles stay filled fast, hands [and candidates] always kept warm.

You’ll thrive in a setting where targets drive results, but human connection is just as critical. If you’ve got the phone charm of a sales pro, the organisational skills of a control freak, and the resilience to keep spirits high through crunch periods, we’d love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own high-volume recruitment: End-to-end hiring for drivers, warehouse teams, and sales roles—from sourcing to offer and induction.
  • Everyday volume hiring:
    • Conduct 100+ daily phone/video interviews, quickly qualifying candidates while maintaining rapport.
    • Build and maintain healthy pipelines, avoiding supply shortages during demand spikes.
  • Source actively: Cast widely—job boards, social media, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Crunch the numbers: Drive KPIs (time-to-fill, fill rates, screenings, submissions, quality of hires).
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand and respond rapidly to demand.
  • Optimise reporting & forecasting with clean ATS data (applicant tracking system).
  • Elevate candidate experience:
    • Fast, clear, and thoughtful communications.
    • Smoother processes at every touchpoint.
  • Innovate & improve: Spot bottlenecks and propose better ways—AI-infused solutions included.
  • Boost employer brand: Lead initiatives to strengthen attraction and talent retention.

  • Flex into operational support roles (e.g., US hiring expansion).

Essential Requirements

  • Hiring hustle: Strong background in high-volume recruitment or a role with similar urgency/volume (e.g., sales, call centre management).
  • Track record: 1+ year in recruitment, sales, or high-output roles where KPIs held significance.
  • With it on the phone:
    • Magnetism with new people.
    • Street-smart ability to assess fit in under 5 minutes.
  • Organisational brilliance: Juggle —and follow through on—multiple live candidates without flinching.
  • Resilience & mental map: Thrives under pressure, juggles peaks and valleys without dropping standards.
  • Data-savvy:
    • Comfortable with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and analysing metrics for personal performance.
    • Data-driven refocus!
  • Candidate-first mentality:
    • Believes speed doesn’tts trade off elegance—speed needs thoughtful execution.

Nice-to-Haves (But By No Means Required!)

  • Niche experience in frontline roles (drivers, logistics, warehouse, seasonal/on-demand staff).
  • Transitioned from agency recruitment to an in-house roles more properly curation.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Indeed, Screenloop, and/or other talent sourcing platforms.
    • AI tools in hiring (CHATGPT, audition, predictive analytics).
